We left Nessebar Yesterday morning and drove to Varna. The drive was not too long, about an hour and a half. All trough the hills, up and down, it was very windey. When there weren't mountains, there were fields filled with sunflowers. While we were in Varna, we went on a really good tour of a museum, and we went to two roman bath ruins. It was really cool to see how the baths were heated, underground. They had maps showing what the baths looked like when they were new.
We went to the market in Varma, behind the Opera House. I got some really cool shoes in a shop just outside of the market. Mum bought some really good nectarines and apricots.
We left Varna and came to Balchik, it was cloudy when we arrived in Balchik, and then it started to rain a little. We found a hotel and got settled. When mum and I went out to look around it started to pour rain. When we went down for dinner later, it was POURING. Everybody had gone inside, and the restaurant were pretty full. We watched the national vollyball team while eating dinner with a thunderstorm booming overhead. There were huge bolts of lightening, followed by roars of thunder. All of the dogs and cats were scared. Later when we went inside, a couple of cats had gotten into the lobby, the hotel staff didn't care, they weren't bothering anybody.

Now, this morning, it is still raining, but not as hard, when we went down for breakfast, two cats had gotten inside of the breakfast area, the hotel staff kept bringing them outside, but they kept getting back in, some of them are just tiny, cute kittens, you almost want to take them home with you.
Today we are off to Ruse Bulgaria, and then possibly into Romania tomorrow.
Love Laura
It is good to know that at least you are having a "shower"! I hope that you had soap!! My gosh it all sounds so interesting. Are you having any trouble communicating? What is the traffic like on the roads? Mary Miller was asking tonight at Chorus Practice if all of you were staying safe and healthy! I told her to let Mom's office know that all is well. Keep posting....you are doing a wonderful job! I can hardly wait to see your watches and shoes etc. I'm being a very good girl...hint..hint! Ha-Ha. Love Grandma (Mom) xoxox
